Student activist Nahid Islam, a key figure in Bangladesh’s 2024 uprising, has become a minister in the interim government and now leads the new National Citizens' Party (NCP).
The interim government plans economic and banking reforms, digital upgrades, anti-corruption measures, and elections by June 2026. It also aims to address the aftermath of the July uprising, promote women's empowerment, and strengthen regional partnerships.
